We’re excited to partner with Edia to make it easier for families to excuse absences and stay connected to student attendance support.
Starting this week, parents/guardians will receive a text message shortly after an absence is recorded in AERIES. Simply reply to the text to excuse your child’s absence — no phone call needed!
✅ Easy and convenient
✅ Share doctor’s notes by text
✅ Get connected to support if attendance challenges arise
✅ Faster communication between home and school
Edia’s AI assistant will help respond to messages and ensure families get connected to the support they may need.

During this session, families will learn practical tools to help recognize emotional triggers, respond calmly during challenging situations, and support their children in developing positive coping skills.
This presentation is part of the De-Escalation Series (Parent Edition) and is designed to empower families with strategies that promote understanding, communication, and emotional regulation.
