It is an honor to serve the Lamont community as principal, and I am proud to lead a school where students are inspired to become empathetic collaborators, effective communicators, resilient learners, responsive community members, and innovative problem solvers.
At Lamont Elementary, our dedicated faculty and staff share a unified purpose: to maximize every child’s learning potential through meaningful, personalized, and authentic learning experiences. Our work is guided by our Learner Framework, which emphasizes Personalized, Authentic, Competency-Based, and Equitable and Inclusive practices. This framework ensures that every child’s learning journey is relevant, rigorous, and responsive to their individual strengths and needs.
We are especially proud of the programs and supports available to our students, including Dual Immersion, Mainstream, Special Education, and After School Programs. Designated and Integrated English Language Development (ELD) instruction is fully implemented at our site. Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) are woven into our daily routines, helping us create a positive school culture where students feel seen, supported, and successful. In addition, our Response to Intervention (RTI) program engages over 600 students daily in small group instruction tailored to specific learning goals, both during the school day and after school.
Our staff is a highly skilled, collaborative team committed to ongoing professional learning. Through regular professional development, we refine our practices in literacy, English Language Development, mathematics, and inquiry-based learning. We encourage creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration through the use of technology, science, and hands-on learning opportunities.
As principal, I am dedicated to providing instructional leadership and support that keeps student achievement and social-emotional development at the heart of all we do. Together, with our students, families, and community partners, we are building a school culture where every learner is known, valued, and empowered to thrive.
